RESUMO

This study aimed to dynamically track the priorities and potential research hotspots in the field of heart failure with sarcopenia. Using CiteSpace, we analyzed the literature on heart failure with sarcopenia from the Web of Science database from 1995 to 2022. The analysis encompassed 507 records, revealing an overall upward trend in annual publication volume. Europe and the United States emerged as the primary regions for publishing, particularly driven by contributions from developed countries such as the United States, Germany, and Italy. Productive institutions included the Charite Universitatsmedizin Berlin, University Medical Center Gottingen, the German Center for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK), Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and the National Institute on Aging (NIA). Noteworthy academic groups have formed around these institutions; von Haehling S, Anker Stefan D, Springer J, and Doehner W frequently collaborated. The core journals that frequently published articles in this area included Circulation, European Heart Journal, and The Journals of Gerontology Series A-Biological Sciences and Medical Sciences. Based on the keyword analysis, we identified three key research areas. First, the diagnosis and definition of sarcopenia emerged as significant themes. Second, researchers have focused on exploring the mechanisms underlying heart failure with sarcopenia, including inflammation, insulin resistance, and oxidative stress. Finally, treatment strategies, such as physical activity and nutritional support, constitute another critical research theme. Furthermore, potential research hotspots within this field include clinical randomized controlled trials, investigations into inflammatory mechanisms, cardiac rehabilitation, studies on physical activity, androgen receptor modulators, and investigations into clinical outcomes such as cognitive impairment.

BACKGROUND: Ginkgo biloba L. preparations (GBLPs) are a class of Chinese herbal medicine used in the adjuvant treatment of ischemic stroke (IS). Recently, several systematic reviews (SRs) and meta-analyses (MAs) of GBLPs for IS have been published. OBJECTIVE: This overview aims to assess the quality of related SRs and MAs. SEARCH STRATEGY: PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Chinese Biological Medicine, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, and Chinese Science and Technology Journals databases were searched from their inception to December 31, 2022. INCLUSION CRITERIA: SRs and MAs of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that explored the efficacy of GBLPs for patients with IS were included. DATA EXTRACTION AND ANALYSIS: Two independent reviewers extracted data and assessed the methodological quality, risk of bias (ROB), reporting quality, and credibility of evidence of the included SRs and MAs using A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews 2 (AMSTAR 2), Risk of Bias in Systematic Reviews (ROBIS), the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA), and the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE), respectively. Additionally, descriptive analysis and data synthesis were conducted. RESULTS: Twenty-nine SRs/MAs involving 119 outcomes were included in this review. The overall methodological quality of all SRs/MAs was critically low based on AMSTAR 2, and 28 had a high ROB based on the ROBIS. According to the PRISMA statement, the reporting items of the included SRs/MAs are relatively complete. The results based on GRADE showed that of the 119 outcomes, 8 were rated as moderate quality, 24 as low quality, and 87 as very low quality. Based on the data synthesis, GBLPs used in conjunction with conventional treatment were superior to conventional treatment alone for decreasing neurological function scores. CONCLUSION: GBLPs can be considered a beneficial supplemental therapy for IS. However, because of the low quality of the existing evidence, high-quality RCTs and SRs/MAs are warranted to further evaluate the benefits of GBLPs for treating IS. BACKGROUND: Autophagy is essential for the homeostasis and function of the cardiovascular system. Citespace is a visual analysis software developed in the context of scientometrics and data visualization. The purpose of this study is to use Citespace software to conduct bibliometric and visual analysis of the research on autophagy in cardiovascular diseases, identify the current status, hot spots and trends in this field, help researchers clarify the future research focus and direction of autophagy in cardiovascular diseases, and provide more positive and broader ideas for the treatment and drug development of cardiovascular diseases. METHODS: In the Web of Science Core Collection database to download the data from 2004 to 2022 regarding autophagy in cardiovascular research. CitespaceV was used to collect the research status, hotspots and development trends for visual analysis. RESULTS: The 3568 articles were published by 547 authors from 397 institutions in 75 countries. From 2004 to 2021, the annual publications increased over time. The top 3 productive nations were China, the United States, and Germany. The leading institution was China's Fudan University. The most cited paper is Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy (3rd edition). The research hotpots include monitoring methods for autophagy activity, changes in autophagy levels in different types of cardiovascular diseases, autophagy signal transduction mechanism in cardiovascular diseases, etc. CONCLUSION: Bibliometric analysis provided valuable information for autophagy research in cardiovascular disease, which is full of opportunities and challenges. The research of autophagy in the field of cardiovascular diseases is still worthy of in-depth exploration. A challenge with autophagy-targeted therapies is their dichotomy in which the goal is to target maladaptive autophagy while maintaining a baseline level of cell survival to optimize a beneficial outcome. It is necessary for scientists to develop new methods to evaluate the level of autophagy from basic application to human body and reveal the signaling mechanism of autophagy in different types of cardiovascular diseases.

Atherosclerosis (AS) is the main underlying cause of cardiovascular disease, and B cells are considered a key immune cell type to regulate AS. So far, there is no bibliometric study on B cell and AS. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the scientific output about B cell and AS, summarize the literature characteristics, explore research hotspots, and point out emerging trends. We searched the literature from 2003 to 2022 from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database. CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and the R package "Bibliometrix" were used for literature analysis and visualization. A total of 1,062 articles and reviews were identified. The number of annual publications generally showed an upward trend. The United States and China were the most productive countries. Medical University of Vienna was the most productive research institution, and Binder Christoph J. was the most productive author, who was also from Medical University of Vienna. "Arteriosclerosis Thrombosis and Vascular Biology" was the most published journal and the most frequently cited journal. The most cited reference was written by Caligiuri G (2002) in "Journal of Clinical Investigation." The most frequent keywords were "inflammation," "macrophages," "cardiovascular disease," "T cells," "apoptosis," "immunity," "cytokines," "lymphocytes," etc. The trend topics were mainly focused on "immune infiltration," "immunoglobulins," and "biomarkers." The complex role of B cell subtypes and a variety of B cell mediators is the main research direction at present. In-depth analysis of B cell-specific targets can provide new ideas and methods for the prevention and treatment of AS.

Atherosclerosis (AS) is widespread and develops into circulatory system problems. T cells play an essential regulatory role in AS occurrence and development. So far, there is no bibliometric research on T cells and AS. To learn more about T cell and AS development, 4,381 records were retrieved from Web of Science™ Core Collection. Then, these records were scientometrically analyzed using CiteSpace and VOSviewer in terms of spatiotemporal distribution, author distribution, subject categories, topic distribution, references, and keywords. Our analysis provides basic information on research in the field, demonstrates that the field has stabilized over the past decade, and identifies potential partners for interested researchers. Current research hotspots in this field mainly include the inflammatory mechanism, immune mechanism, related diseases, and related cytokines of AS. B cell, mortality, inhibition, and monocyte represent the frontiers of research in this field, undergoing an explosive phase. We hope that this work will provide new ideas for advancing the scientific research and clinical application of T cell and AS.

Cardiovascular disease is a group of diseases with high mortality in clinic, including hypertension, coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy, heart valve disease, heart failure, to name a few. In the development of cardiovascular diseases, pathological cardiac remodeling is the most common cardiac pathological change, which often becomes a domino to accelerate the deterioration of the disease. Therefore, inhibiting pathological cardiac remodeling may delay the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases and provide patients with greater long-term benefits. Resveratrol is a non-flavonoid polyphenol compound. It mainly exists in grapes, berries, peanuts and red wine, and has cardiovascular protective effects, such as anti-oxidation, inhibiting inflammatory reaction, antithrombotic, dilating blood vessels, inhibiting apoptosis and delaying atherosclerosis. At present, the research of resveratrol has made rich progress. This review aims to summarize the possible mechanism of resveratrol against pathological cardiac remodeling, in order to provide some help for the in-depth exploration of the mechanism of inhibiting pathological cardiac remodeling and the development and research of drug targets.

The aim of this study was to gain insight into the progress and dynamics of psycho-cardiological disease research and track its hot spots. We have analyzed psycho-cardiological disease-related literature extracted from the Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection from 2001 to 2021 with the help of Cite Space. As a result, we have included 5,032 records. Then, we have analyzed connected networks for the country, author, subject category, keywords, and cited reference. We have summarized the findings in four aspects. First, the annual quantitative distribution of publications is on the rise, although there is a slight drop. Second, in terms of country analysis, the United States, England, Australia, Germany, and Italy are the main research forces in psycho-cardiological diseases. At the same time, several academic entities represented by Andrew Steptoe and Roland von Känel, MD, have been formed based on the early consciousness of physical and mental health in these countries. Besides, China is also more concerned about it due to the rapid population aging process and the largest population. Third, the psycho-cardiological disease is multidisciplinary, including psychology, psychiatry, clinical medicine, such as cardiovascular system and neurology, public environmental and occupational health, and pharmacology. Finally, the results of keyword analysis and co-cited references indicate the hot spots and frontiers in psycho-cardiological disease. The hot spots in psycho-cardiological disease include three aspects. The first aspect includes psychosocial factors, such as depression, lack of social support, and low economic and social status; the second aspect includes priority populations, such as Alzheimer's disease dementia caregivers, elderly, and patients with cancer, and the third aspect includes interventions, such as exercise therapy and diet. In addition, there are three future research frontiers. The first is a psycho-cardiological disease in patients with COVID-19; the second is cardiac rehabilitation, especially exercise therapy and health behavior evaluation; and the final is evidence-based medical evaluation, such as systematic reviews and meta-analyses.

Heart Failure with preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) is a heterogeneous disease, which is becoming a worldwide menace. By retrieving the relevant literature of HFpEF from 2000 to 2021, qualitative and quantitative evaluations are carried out to visualize the scientific achievements in this field. The data were from the Web of Science Core Collection database. The bibliometric tool-CiteSpace is used for scientific econometric analysis to understand the development of disciplines and research hotspots in this field. A total of 6318 HFpEF-related research papers were collected by Web of Science Core Collection database from 2000 to 2021, and the number of published papers and citations were in the rising stage. Fund-funded publications accounted for 80.4 percent of total publications, mainly at the national level, with the largest number being funded by the United States Department of Health and Public Services. The number of publications and centrality of the USA ranked first, indicating that the USA is mature in this research field and is in a leading position in the industry, which may benefit from the contributions of scientific research institutions such as Mayo Medical Center, Brigham Women's Hospital, Northwest University and Duke University. Low-income and middle-income countries lag far behind developed countries in terms of health care and scientific research and need to strengthen international cooperation. Bibliometric analysis shows that the main research directions of HFpEF are epidemiology, treatment, and comorbidity research of HFpEF and atrial fibrillation. Chronic microvascular inflammation is the latest research paradigm of HFpEF, especially phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors.

RESUMO

A general and direct N-arylation of sulfonamides and NH-sulfoximines by sodium arylsulfinates through a desulfitative pathway was herein demonstrated. The reaction proceeded with catalytic loadings of Cu(II)-catalysts without any external ligands. And the novel arylation protocol featured for high efficiency (up to 93% yields) and good substituent tolerance (up to 53 examples). Moreover, a plausible reaction mechanism was also discussed.
